The U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) d its travel advisory for the country's citizens following explosion in Vezneciler area of Istanbul on Tuesday.
“On 7 June 2016, there was an explosion in the Vezneciler area of Istanbul. Vezneciler metro station and roads around the area have been closed. If you’re in the area, follow the advice of local security authorities” said the written statement, shared by the British Embassy to Turkey.
“Over 2,500,000 British nationals visit Turkey every year. It’s generally safe to travel but you should take additional safety precautions. You should be alert to your surroundings and remain vigilant in crowded places popular with tourists” the advisory added.
